Akash Madhwal was the ace of the match for Mumbai Indians on Wednesday. With Jasprit Bumrah and Jofra Archer out of the squad, Mumbai got a new match-winner in the form of Akash. Mumbai won the eliminator match against Lucknow Super Giants by 81 runs and got a chance in the qualifier match. For Akash, who studied engineering, the journey to success in the IPL was certainly not easy.

Against Lucknow Super Giants, Akash Madhwal took five wickets in 3.3 overs for just 5 runs. In his first IPL season, Akash led Mumbai to two consecutive victories. Earlier, Akash took four wickets against Sunrisers Hyderabad. In the first IPL season of his career, Akash has made everyone crazy with his bowling. He completed his education in Engineering. He has done his B.Tech from Roodki, Uttarakhand.
