India’s Test and ODI squads for the West Indies tour were announced on Friday (June 23). Rohit Sharma has retained the responsibility as the captain of the Test team, while returning veteran Ajinkya Rahane has once again been given the vice-captaincy of the team. Yashasvi Jaiswal- After literally scoring runs in domestic cricket as well as IPL, Yashasvi Jaiswal has got an opportunity in the Indian team. He was the highest run-scorer in the domestic season last year. Also, he has become an emerging cricketer in IPL. With all this in mind, he has now got a chance in the Test team. He can claim the third position in place of Cheteshwar Pujara.

Rituraj Gaikwad- After a strong performance in the IPL for the third year in a row, Rituraj’s place in the Indian team seems to be confirmed. Rituraj, who has played one ODI and 9 T20Is for India so far, will be seen in the Test team for the first time. Interestingly, he will be seen playing in both teams on this tour.
