Fans were treated to an exciting match between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals on Sunday (April 30). Rajasthan scored a huge score of 212 while batting first. In reply, the Mumbai batsmen chased the runs with three balls as aggressively. This was Mumbai’s fourth win in the tournament. However, Rajasthan’s young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a brilliant century in this match. After praising him, Rajasthan head coach Kumar Sangkara called him the future of India.
Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 124 runs off 62 balls with the help of 16 fours and 8 sixes in this match. He has also become the highest run-scorer for Rajasthan this season. Afterwards Sangakkara praised him, saying,
“Success is definitely the future of the Indian team. He’s not just a player with skill, he’s worked so hard for it. He learns things very quickly. I have been seeing him for the past three-four years. He is very focused during practice.” Yashav is part of Rajasthan Royals since 2020.
Considering this match, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and decided to bat first. Only opener Yashasvi Jaiswal could fight for the Rajasthan team in this match. Yashasvi, playing at his home ground, scored 124 runs off 62 balls. While chasing these runs, Mumbai Indians had a bad start. However, Suryakumar Yadav scored a storming half-century to lead the team to victory. In the end, Tim David scored an unbeaten 45 off 14 balls to give the team victory.
