In this match which was held at the Ikana Stadium in Lucknow, RCB defended a small score and won brilliantly. But during the match there was an argument between Virat Kohli and Naveen Ul Haq. The two also got into an argument after the match was over. After that, Lucknow’s mentor Gautam Gambhir also jumped into the controversy and took some verbal jabs at Virat. As the matter escalated, both the players turned on each other. Many reacted harshly to this saying that it is not befitting behavior of professional athletes.

Regarding the entire incident, the match referee called all the players and inquired about the incident. After that Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were given 100% match fee reduction and Naveen Ul Haq 50% match fee reduction.

This controversy started with the first match which was held earlier. Lucknow defeated RCB on their home ground with the last ball. At that time, the RCB players were hurt due to the aggressive celebration done by Lucknow’s Avesh Khan and Gautam Gambhir.
