Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore lost at their home ground on Wednesday. KKR beat RCB by 21 runs at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Instead of regular captain Faf du Plessis, Virat Sagal was seen leading the third match of the season. Varun Chakraborty was Man of the Match. Virat’s individual performance was also impressive. But Venkatesh Iyer took an amazing catch and showed him the way to the tent.

Virat Kohli scored 54 runs off 37 balls in this match against KKR. During this time he also hit 6 boundaries and his strike rate was 145.94. RCB were given a target of 201 runs to win. Virat Kohli came in to open the innings and also completed his half century. Virat lost his wicket in the 12th over when it looked like he would play a vital role in helping RCB win.

KKR all-rounder Andre Russell came to bowl in this over. On the very first ball of the over, Virat played a brilliant shot towards deep midwicket. But this shot by Virat was caught by Venkatesh Iyer who was there without making any mistake. As a result, when the team’s score was 115, RCLI had to lose the fifth wicket in the form of Virat. Meanwhile, Virat had won the toss of the match between the two teams and invited KKR to bat first. After batting first, RCB scored 200 for 5 in 20 overs. In reply, RCB scored 179 for 8 in 20 overs.
