Get set go! The World Cup schedule will be announced today, where will the India-Pakistan match be held?

The ICC ODI World Cup will be played in India in October and November this year. India will host the ODI World Cup for the first time since 2011. However, the ICC has not announced the World Cup schedule yet. According to various media reports, the ICC may announce the World Cup schedule on Tuesday (June 27).

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the host of this World Cup, has sent the draft schedule to the ICC a few days in advance. The draft schedule has also been sent to the countries participating in this World Cup. Accordingly, this competition will start from October 5. So, the final match will be played on November 19. This schedule is yet to be approved by the ICC. The ICC may announce this schedule with necessary changes on Tuesday.

The Pakistan Cricket Board had objected to the draft prepared by the BCCI. The PCB had suggested to change the venue of three of its matches. In this, they are demanding that India vs Pakistan match in Ahmedabad be played in Chennai or Kolkata. So, they want to play the match against Afghanistan in Chennai and in Bangalore. However, BCCI opposed this decision.

India will host the entire World Cup for the first time. These matches will be held in eleven different cities of India. The opening match could be England vs New Zealand. The semi-final matches are likely to be played in Kolkata and Mumbai respectively. So, the final match will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
