Gill won the IPL season after Virat and Butler! Especially the list obtained the position

Indian Premier League 2023 was truly special for Shubman Gill. Guine scored 3 centuries in IPL this year. On Friday (May 26), Guine hit his third century of the IPL season and moved up to third on a special list. Gill became the third Indian batsman to score all-time centuries in an IPL season.

The record for most centuries in one IPL season is still held by Indian legend Virat Kohli. Virat has to score a total of 4 centuries in IPL 2016. Virat had scored the highest 973 in this season. No batsman has been able to break Virat’s record of centuries and runs this season. Jos Buttler is second in the list of most centuries. This England batsman equaled Virat Kohli by scoring four centuries in IPL 2022. However, Buttler was behind Virat in terms of runs. Buttler scored 863 runs in IPL last year.

Shubman Gill has now reached the third position in this list. Gill has so far scored three centuries and scored 851 runs in 16 matches. He scored 129 off 60 balls against Mumbai Indians on Friday. During this, 7 fours and 10 sixes were seen from his bat. Gill scored these runs at a strike rate of 215.00. If Gujarat Titans beat Mumbai Indians and reach the final, Shubman Gill will have a chance to break Jos Buttler’s record for most runs.
