In this background, Anil Kumble said that Kuldeep should play for India. Kumble said, “Kuldeep Yadav is definitely wanted in the Test team. Because he is a good bowler. A leg spinner is a very aggressive bowler. Often this is a problem for the team, but a leg-spinner should be kept with you and prepared. So whenever he gets a chance, he should be given a chance. He is a good option in Test match. Whenever he has got a chance, he has performed well. There are many spinners in white ball cricket. But we don’t get to see them in Tests.”

Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja are currently performing well for the Indian team. Axar Patel is also a good all-rounder for the team. However, according to Kumble, Kuldeep should be given a chance to play wherever possible even with these three players. “Ashwin and Jadeja are doing very well for the Indian team right now.
