Golden boy Neeraj Chopra hit a big milestone! Became the world’s best javelin thrower

India’s Olympic super medalist Neeraj Chopra’s name has been written in the pages of history. On Monday (May 22), Neeraj Chopra became the world’s best player in the men’s javelin event rankings. He is the first athlete from India to achieve such a feat. He has achieved this feat surpassing the great javelin thrower Anderson Peters.

Neeraj Chopra won gold medal for India in Tokyo Olympics 2021. He became the first Indian to win an Olympic gold medal in athletics. He has achieved this feat by throwing the javelin 87.58 meters long. This success in Olympics was special for Niraj. But he did not stop there. He threw the javelin 89.63 meters and won the gold medal in the Diamond League held in Zurich. On the strength of this performance, Chopra has reached the first position in the javelin ranking. Neeraj had won the Diamond League with a javelin throw of 88.67 meters. In the same competition, the second place was won by the midlist Jakub Wadle. The athlete threw the javelin at 88.62 meters for the second position. Anderson Peters, ranked third, threw the javelin 85.88 meters.

Neeraj Chopra spoke to the media after winning the competition. This time he also said that his next focus is on the Paris Olympics. The Olympics will be held in Paris next year. Neeraj said, “This victory was very difficult. But I am happy that it was a good start for me. I hope that I will be number one in the upcoming tournaments and will continue to perform well.”

“The challenge was tough for all the athletes. But I am satisfied with this victory. I am happy. It was a good start and the atmosphere was amazing.
