Harampreet Kaur shines in a low scoring match! Won the first T20 match against Bangladesh by 7 wickets

Bangladesh and India women’s cricket teams will face each other on Sunday (July 9) at the Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. The match between both the teams remained low-scoring. India won this match by 7 wickets. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur could make the most important contribution in this victory. Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and invited the hosts Bangladesh to bat first. Batting first, Bangladesh scored 114 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. India were set a target of 115 runs for victory, which the team achieved in 16.2 overs and at the loss of 3 wickets. Harmanpreet contributed a half century in this. Harmanpreet scored 54 runs off 35 balls. Before Harmanpreet, opener Smriti Mandhana played an important innings of 38 runs. But before he could complete his half century, Smriti was caught by the wicket keeper Nigar Sultan off Sultana Khatun.

Shorna Akhtar scored the highest score of 28 runs for her team in this match. Sultana Khatun took two wickets while Maruf Akhtar took one wicket for Bangladesh.
