Harbhajan Singh and Ravichandran Ashwin are named as the greatest spinners of Indian cricket team of all time. Both have more than 400 wickets in Test cricket. Three years have passed since Harbhajan retired, and Ashwin is in the final stages of his career. Meanwhile, former Pakistan spinner Saeed Ajmal has made a serious allegation.
Ajmal, who is a former Pakistan cricketer, recently took a swipe at the ICC in an interview. In him the ICC wronged him as his bowling style was questionable. At the same time, other bowlers are allowed to bowl, even when bowling a throw. he said,
“After I took 448 international wickets, the ICC thought I bowled fake. In fact, after Muralitharan retired, the ICC made some changes to the bowling rules. I got information about this from a referee in Sri Lanka. I can now name twenty-five people who have played international cricket, whose bowling style was questionable. Big bowlers like Muralitharan, Harbhajan Singh, Ashwin Narine are involved in it. Not only this, fast bowler Kurtley Ambrose also used to bowl with a shoulder flick.”
Ajmal has represented Pakistan in all three forms of cricket. He was banned from bowling in 2014 for questionable bowling style. Finally in 2017 he announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Currently, he plays the role of commentator and cricket coach.
