In my opinion, it doesn’t matter that you play your role only when there is a sign that you are the captain. Speaking further, he said that “I think that Shubman will be the captain in the future? So yes definitely. However, no decision has been taken in this regard yet. He has leadership, he is mature and he has talent. He has good knowledge of cricket. We will continue to hold discussions with Shubman and his opinion will be sought in whatever decision is taken.”

Gill’s performance
Shubman Gill has become an integral part of the Indian team over the past six months. In the meantime, he has also performed amazingly. This also includes scoring a double century in an ODI against New Zealand. He played a major role in helping Gujarat Titans win the IPL title last year.
