Hitman became the ‘record man’ of Indian cricket! By showing a performance that Dhoni-Virat could not match

Indian team captain Rohit Sharma scored a brilliant century in the first Test match against Australia. Rohit, who scored an unbeaten half-century on the first day of the match, showed composure to complete his 9th Test century on the second day when the batsmen were being dismissed from one side. Along with this, he became the first Indian batsman to score a century in all three forms of cricket as a captain.

In the Nagpur Test, the Australian team scored 177 runs while batting first. In reply, India scored 77 for 1 on the first day. Rohit scored an unbeaten 56 off 69 balls on the first day. Then on the next day, he showed patience and completed his century in 177 balls. This included 14 fours and 2 sixes. He registered another record with his 9th Test century.

Rohit now became the first batsman to score a century in Test, ODI and T20 cricket while leading India. Earlier, he had celebrated a century in T20 and ODI as a captain. It was his first century since taking over the Test captaincy last year.

Earlier, Virender Sehwag, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane have led India in all three types of cricket. However, none of them could register such a performance.
