How will Virat recover his Test career! Look at the shocking averages between 100 and 107 Tests
A 4-match Test series is currently being played between India and Australia. Indian team has won two matches in this series. Also, the third Test match is being played at Indore. On one hand, India is doing well as a team, but on the other, Virat Kohli seems to be a consistent failure in Test cricket. Virat is currently playing his 107th Test match, but his Test average graph seems to be steadily declining. In this article we will look at Virat’s batting average between 100 and 107 Test matches.
Virat Kohli could not play a satisfactory innings in the third Test match of the India vs Australia team which started from Wednesday (March 1). He was dismissed for 22 off 52 balls in the first innings of the Indore Test match. He hit only 2 boundaries while making these runs. Then in the second innings, when Virat was expected to recover the team’s innings, he failed there as well. Virat faced 26 balls in the second innings. Here too he hit 2 fours, but could only score 13 runs. Thus, Virat could score only 35 runs in both the innings. This also caused his Test average to drop. This was Virat’s 107th Test match. In this his average is 48.12.

When Virat played his 100th Test match, his average was 50.35. However, his average continued to decline in the next seven Tests he played thereafter. He averaged 49.95 in 101st Test match.
