The friendly relationship between former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni and senior batsman Virat Kohli is a matter of admiration for the entire cricketing world. Virat is constantly seen talking about how Dhoni has helped him. Now he has made a new revelation about Dhoni.
Virat Kohli was going through a very poor run of form recently. He could not score an international century for almost three years. Many criticized him during this period. Also, many were demanding his removal from the team. Virat had admitted a few days ago that Dhoni has saved him many times during these difficult times. After that, once again he made a new revelation about his relationship with Dhoni.
Recently a podcast was released by the Royal Challengers Bangalore team. Speaking in this, Virat told the story of how Dhoni helped him. he said,
“When I was going through a tough time, I got two calls from Dhoni. This was actually unexpected. Because Dhoni doesn’t answer 99% of anyone’s phone. But happily he calls twice on his own. He explained me well. He made me vice-captain at the age of 23. That made the bond between us better.”
Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni have played a total of 285 matches between 2008 and 2019. It includes 30 Tests, 195 ODIs and 60 T20 Internationals.
