“I see Kallis in him”, praises Cameron Greene from the legend

The fourth and final Test match between India and Australia is being played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The three day’s play of this match has ended and the match is headed for a draw. At the same time, the Australian legend has praised Australia’s young all-rounder Cameron Green, who scored a brilliant century in this match.

Only 23 years old, Green is touring India for the first time. He missed the first two matches of the Test series due to injury. After that, he did not perform well in the Indore Test. However, the Ahmedabad Test made the most of the opportunity he got. After Marnus Labuchen and Steve Smith failed, he along with Usman Khawaja saved Australia’s innings. Green scored 114 runs off 170 balls with the help of 18 fours. It was his first Test century.

After his innings, former Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait praised him. Tate said,

“He was happy when he scored a century. However, he was more than satisfied with this game. He announced his arrival in international cricket. He also bats at the top order. He also has the ability to bowl at speeds in excess of 140. Apart from this, he also stands up in the slips and takes good catches. All this makes me see in him a glimpse of the great Jacques Kallis.”

Green has been in the limelight since the tour of India last year. After his explosive performance in the T20 series, Mumbai Indians bid a whopping 17.50 crores for him in the IPL auction.
