Former Indian batsman Virender Sehwag seems not to like Prithvi Shaw’s behavior. Sehga’s recent reaction to this is in discussion. Prithvi Shaw was seen playing a modest innings in IPL 2023. After a series of disappointing innings, Shaw scored his first half-century of the season against Punjab Kings on Wednesday ().

Prithvi Shaw has been a regular opener for Delhi Capitals. But due to poor form, he was left out of the playing eleven for a few matches in the IPL this year. Shaw managed to score just 101 runs in 7 matches played in IPL 2023. His average remained 14.2. Delhi certainly did not expect such a performance from the opener. Even before IPL 2023, Shaw has been struggling to score since the last big time. According to Virender Sehwag, Shaw should personally talk to senior players and learn their experience. Sehwag also recounted an incident when Shaw and his partner Shubman Gill avoided discussing with him.

Sehwag said on a media, “Once Prithvi Shaw was shooting an ad with me. Shubman Gill was also present at that time. Both of them did not even discuss with me. I was there for 6 hours, neither of them came to me. If you want experience, you need to get in touch.”

Gavaskar also recalled the early days of his career. The coach at the time was John Wright. Sehwag sought John Wright’s help to get to know Sunil Gavaskar. Sehwag said, “When I was new to the Indian team, I wanted to get in touch with Sunil Gavaskar. I said to coach Johnny Wright, get me to meet him. Because they did not know whether they would meet me or not. Johnny Wright then invited me to dinner. I had said that I will bring Akash Chopra with me. After that I and Akash went there. Sunil Gavaskari had come there. We had a long discussion with Savaskar while eating. This visit was very beneficial. No experienced player will personally come to discuss with you. You have to go to them.”
