Currently, a four-match Test series is being played between India and Australia. The Indian team took the lead by winning the first two matches of the series. The third match of the series will be played from March 1. Earlier, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has commented on the venues in Nagpur and Delhi where the first two matches were played.
The first match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy was played at Nagpur. Indian spinners dominated this match. The Indian spinners literally forced the Australian batsmen to their knees. The Indian team won this match by an innings and 132 runs in just three days. After that, a similar situation was witnessed in the second match in Delhi. The first two days were evenly matched. However, on the third day, India took the lead in the match by scoring nine wickets in the first session. India passed the challenge of 115 runs for victory with the loss of four wickets.
After these two matches, both these pitches have been commented. According to a report in a leading newspaper, the ICC has rated the pitches in Delhi and Nagpur as average.
After every Test match, the pitch is commented by the ICC. Australia played the first Test match against India in Pune in the previous tour. The pitch in this match has been rated as poor. After that, the pitch in Bangalore was also rated as below average. The third Test match between India and Australia will be played at Indore. The final match will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
