ICC has selected 10 grounds for World Cup 2023, leaving only ‘this’ ground Virat has scored centuries in 9 places

The Indian team has got the host title of ICC ODI World Cup 2023. This tournament will be organized in 10 cities of India. Indian team will play 9 league matches in 9 different cities. However, the special thing is that Virat Kohli has scored at least 1 century in 9 of the 10 scheduled venues of the World Cup 2023 tournament. There is only one ground on which Virat is yet to hit a century with the bat. However, Virat has not played a single international match on that ground till date.

In fact, BCCI and ICC have jointly decided to host ODI World Cup 2023 at 10 venues. These include Delhi, Lucknow, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Dharamshala, Bangalore and Ahmedabad to name a few. Interestingly, Virat Kohli has scored at least 1 century in international cricket on 9 of these 10 grounds. Virat has scored 3 centuries each at Kolkata and Pune grounds.

Virat Kohli has not scored a single international century in Lucknow. Interestingly, Virat has yet to play a single international match at the Ikana Stadium in Lucknow. Virat has scored 3 centuries each in Kolkata and Pune, and 2 centuries each in Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai. Also, Ahmedabad, Dharamsala, Bangalore and Hyderabad have scored 1 century each. Indian team will not play a single match in Hyderabad.

The ICC announced the World Cup schedule on Tuesday (June 27). As per the schedule, the tournament will be held from October 5 to November 19. The final match of the tournament will be played at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. All the matches of the Indian team in the tournament will start at 2 pm.
