ICC T20 Rankings: ‘Topper’ Suryakumar’s place under threat, ‘Ya’ Pakistani player jumps to second place

The ICC T20 rankings were announced on Wednesday (April 26). Pakistan’s opening batsman Mohammad Rizwan has got a big advantage in this ranking. Rizwan was rewarded with a brilliant performance in the recently concluded T20 series against New Zealand. He has also come close to Suryakumar Yadav with 13 points and a gap of less than 100 rating points.

Suryakumar Yadav, the explosive batsman of the Indian team, is at the top with 906 points. Also, Mohammad Rizwan has reached the second position with 811 marks. Pakistan captain Babar Azam has also benefited from this ranking. He has 13 extra points. Now he has reached the third position in the ranking with 756 points. Babar scored a century against New Zealand. Also, Rizwan scored an unbeaten 98 in the final match. He ended the series as Pakistan’s highest run-scorer with a total of 162 runs.

New Zealand batsman and match-winner Mark Chapman made a big leap in the T20 rankings with a century in the final match. He moved up 45 spots to a career-best 35th. Also, Pakistan batsman Iftikhar Ahmed has also gained 6 places and has come to 38th position. This is the best position of his career. Also, he is Pakistan’s third explosive batsman.

Imad Wasim’s Bharari too
All-rounder Imad Wasim also gave a storming performance during this series. Imad scored 31 runs in the final match. Also, took a total of 8 wickets in the series.
