According to these veterans, as league cricket is getting more importance, international cricket is dying in a way. Some players have even broken their contract with the national team to play league cricket. Some players are preparing to leave the national team. If players continue to leave the national team like this, there may come a time when the national team will not have quality players to play with.

ICC is going to take a step soon to take into account the difficulties in the future. According to The Telegraph, the ICC is considering introducing two important rules to limit league cricket. According to information, the ICC is asking to implement the rule used in the Indian Premier League. According to this rule, any franchise can field only four foreign players in its playing eleven. One more rule has been added. According to this rule, after the franchise buys a foreign player, its respective cricket board also has to pay a certain amount to the franchise.

In the International League T20 (ILT20) held in the UAE, there is a rule that a franchise can field a total of 9 foreign players in its playing eleven. But if the ICC implements these two rules, the league in the UAE will also have to change its rules. Reports also said that franchisees buying foreign players may have to pay at least 10 percent of the amount paid to the player to the respective cricket board. It is said that the ICC is thinking of strengthening the financial vision of the respective cricket boards.
