‘If I had played for India, 1000 wickets…’, Pakistani bowler’s sensational statement

Former players of Pakistan team always make statements about India. Now the name of Saeed Ajmal has also been included in this player. Ajmal is counted among the great spinners of Pakistan. He turned out to be a player whose career was interrupted for a different reason. Ajmal, who played more than 200 matches in international cricket, was deemed to have questionable bowling action and was banned from bowling by the ICC. This same Ajmal has made a big statement about India.

What did Saeed Ajmal say?
Saeed Ajmal said that if he had played cricket for India, he would have taken more than 1000 wickets. Speaking to a podcast, he said, “Honestly, if I had played for India, I would have taken 1,000 wickets. I was a bowler who took almost 100 wickets every year.”

Talking about his bowling ban, he said, “The ICC should have stopped me from playing as soon as I made my cricket debut in 2009. However, he took notice of the matter when I had become a top-class bowler in the world. When I took more than 400 wickets, they realized they needed to find a way to stop me. So they did. When I was banned from bowling, I was the top-ranked bowler in the world.”

Meanwhile, Saeed, despite being the world’s top-ranked bowler, was asked why he did not receive any man-of-the-match award in ODIs. On this he said, “My luck remained bad. I took 5 wickets in the third match itself, which is now my career best against India. The entire team was bowled out for 175 runs. However, Dhoni was given the man of the match award.”

Did any batsman feel proud after being dismissed? On this, Saeed took the name of Sachin Tendulkar. Saeed said, “This is still under debate. He was dismissed off my ball in the semi-final of World Cup 2011, but the third umpire’s decision declared him not out again.” Saeed still thinks that he dismissed Sachin. England umpire Ian Gould also recently said that Sachin was out at that time, but the third umpire changed his decision.

If you look at it, while playing cricket between 2008 and 2015, Saeed had troubled many batsmen in the world with his bowling. Not only this, he also remained the top ranked bowler in the world in ODI and T20 rankings. He had taken 178 wickets in 35 Tests, 184 in 113 ODIs and 85 in 64 T20Is for a total of 447 wickets for Pakistan. (pakistans former spinner saeed ajmal on team india know here)
