If Rahul gets out of Indore Test, who will get a chance? ‘These’ players can do the opening

There may be some important changes in the Indian team ahead of the third Test against Australia. Both the teams are currently playing a four-match Border Gavaskar Test series. The Indian team has won 2-0 in the first two matches of the series. The team is likely to get a new vice-captain in the third match, and who will open alongside Rohit Sharma? This too cannot be said for sure yet.

KL Rahul has been the vice-captain of India’s Test team for a long time now. But after a series of disappointing performances, the BCCI eventually stripped him of the team’s vice-captaincy. BCCI took this important step after Rahul failed in the first two matches against Australia. He scored 20 runs in the first Test played in Nagpur. He scored 17 and 1 in the Delhi Test. After the BCCI announced the squad for the third and fourth Tests against Australia on Sunday (February 19), Rahul was stripped of the vice-captaincy. His place in the playing eleven for the third Test is also considered to be in danger.

The third Test match between the two teams will be played at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. In this match starting on March 1, young Shubman Gill can be given a chance in the playing eleven instead of Rahul. But on the other hand, it is unlikely that Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid (head coach) will drop Rahul from the team soon. But if Rahul is dropped from the playing eleven, Shubman Gill could be seen opening the innings for India. Suryakumar Yadav is also a contender as Rahul’s replacement. But it is very unlikely that Suryakumar will start the innings. In this case, Cheteshwar Pujara or Virat Kohli can open with Rohit.
