Important changes in T20 rankings after Pakistan-New Zealand series, know who will be number one?

The ICC announced its Tachy rankings on Wednesday (April 26). According to the latest men’s T20 rankings, Pakistan’s Iftikhar Ahmed and New Zealand’s Mark Chapman have reached the top ranking. On the other hand, Suryakumar Yadav, who has been in bad form for a long time, is at the top of the T20 rankings this time as well.

Suryakumar Yadav has scored a half-century for Mumbai Indians in the current IPL season. But in the months before that, his bat was completely quiet. Last year, Suryakumar, who was in blistering form, was named the best batsman in the ICC T20 rankings, which is still in the works. Suryakumar, who is the best batsman in the T20 rankings, currently has 906 rating points.

A five-match T20 series between Pakistan and India was played recently. After this series, some important changes were seen in the T20 rankings. Mark Chapman scored the highest 290 runs for New Zealand in this series. This exposure benefited him in the rankings. Chapman jumped 48 places in the T20 rankings to 35th in the batsmen’s list, his best ranking of his career. Earlier in 2018, Chapman reached number 54.

Also, Iftikhar Ahmed, who scored 36 runs for Pakistan in the last match of the series, has reached number 38. Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan is second in the list of batsmen, while captain Babar Azam is third. Iftikhar was earlier ranked 43rd and his improvement in ranking is significant.

New Zealand’s Chad Bowes has moved up 82 places to 118th while Ish Sodhi has climbed to 14th in bowling. Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim has climbed 15 places to 127th in the batsmen’s rankings, while he has climbed 120 places to 93rd in the bowlers’ rankings. He is ranked 24th in the all-rounder’s ranking by 44 places. New Zealand’s Chad Bowes has gained 82 places in the latest rankings. He is currently ranked 118th.
