IND vs AUS: India all out for 296, Australia lose four crucial wickets at the end of Day 3

The WTC final between India and Australia started on Wednesday (June 7). The Australian team is in a strong position in this ongoing match at the Oval Stadium in London. After the third day’s play, the Australian team is leading by 296 runs. In the second innings, Australia has scored 123 for 4. Marnus Labuschagne and Cameron Green remain on the pitch.

India started the third day of the WTC final with a lead of 151 for 5. At that time, Ajinkya Rahane and KS Bharat were on the pitch with 29* and 5* respectively. In the second team of the third day, the first innings of the Indian team ended. India scored 296 runs in 69.4 overs losing all wickets. At the end of the first innings, the Australian team had a total lead of 173 runs. This lead is increasing in the second innings.

On the third day overall, Ajinkya Rahane was the savior for India. Rahane fell just 11 runs short of his century. He scored 89 runs off 129 balls. Captain Pat Cummins was most successful in the bowling department in the first innings for Australia. Cummins took the most wickets with three. Overall, the third day of the match was good for India. However, in terms of victory, the Australian team still looks heavy.

The Australian team came out to bat in the second session on Friday (June 9) and Ravindra Jadeja took two crucial wickets before the day’s play ended. Jadeja was seen bowling more effectively in this innings than in the first innings. Steve Smith and Travis Head, who were the biggest obstacles for India in the last match, were shown the way to the tent by Jadeja. Labuschagne is currently on the pitch with 41*, Green 7* and remains on the pitch.

Two more days of play are left and quick wickets are needed to decide the match. India will have to dismiss the Australian batsmen early to win. If the Australian team continues to extend their lead in this manner, victory will be impossible for India. It will be interesting to see how the Indian bowlers perform in the first session on Saturday (June 10). (India vs Australia WTC Philan, Australia lead by 296 runs at the end of the third day)
