In the first innings of the first Test match against Australia, India’s batting looked heavy. After losing the toss, India bowled first. Batting first, the Australian team was bowled out for just 177 runs. In response, the Indian team, however, gained a huge lead over Australia. India’s first innings ends at 400 runs. The Indian team is currently leading Australia by 223 runs.
In the first innings, not a single batsman of the Australian team could score a half century. But for India, captain Rohit Sharma scored a century. Along with this, all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Akshar Patel contributed half-centuries. After taking 5 wickets for the team as a bowler, Jadeja scored an important knock of 70 runs as a batsman. Akshar Patel also scored 84 runs.
