Ishant recently gave an interview to a YouTube channel. In this he told the journey of Virat Kohli so far. he said,
“I have seen all the phases of Virat’s life. I still remember that his father died when he was only seventeen years old. At that time, he came to bat and played an extraordinary innings. Everyone was stunned to see such understanding in him. Couldn’t have done it if I had been in his place.”
Talking about Virat’s character, he said,
“Asha is not a word in Virat’s dictionary. He only relies on the word faith and emphasizes on hard work. Virat brought a fitness culture to the Indian team. After he became the captain, everyone was focusing on how to stay fitter. You can use the similarity between Mohammed Shami and the current fast bowlers as an example. Shami still looks fitter than others.”
He also admitted that he has changed a lot since his marriage to Anushka Sharma. Virat and Ishant have been playing for Delhi since age group cricket. After that, both of them played cricket together for many years for the Indian team. Both of them have the record of playing more than 100 Tests for India.
