Izzy Wong’s first hat-trick of WPL, who has done this feat in IPL?

On Friday (March 24), Izzy Wong took the first hat-trick of wickets in WPL history and sent Mumbai Indians into the final. Mumbai Indians and UP Warriors faced each other in the eliminator match. Meanwhile, after Wong’s three consecutive wickets in this match, many people remembered CSK and India’s former legendary bowler Lakshmipathi Balaji.

Balaji was the first to take a hat-trick of wickets in IPL, which is known as the most popular league in the world. In the first season of IPL i.e. in the year 2008, he did this performance against the Punjab Kings team. Irfan Pathan (IK Pathan), Piyush Chawla (PP Chawla) and Vikram Singh (VRV Singh) were bowled by Laxmikant Balaji on successive balls. However, Balaji could not give CSK a win in this match. CSK had accepted the defeat by 18 runs.

On the other hand, Izzy Wong took the wicket of skipper Alyssa Healy in the third over of UP’s innings on Friday. Then in the 13th over of the innings, she took three consecutive wickets. Kiran Navgire, Simran Sheikh and Sophie Eccleston showed her way to the tent on the second, third and fourth balls of the 13th over.
