Jaiswal only second player to achieve ‘such’ feat for India after 47 years, must read news

21-year-old batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal got an opportunity to make his international debut in India’s first Test match against the West Indies. He later converted this century into a half-century and also won the man of the match award. Yashasvi Jaiswal opened the first innings for India in this test match played in Dominica. He made a double century partnership of 229 runs with captain Rohit Sharma this time. This included Rohit’s 103 runs. Also, Jaiswal included 110 runs. He had scored a century in 215 balls. After the fall of Rohit’s wicket, Jaiswal added to the team’s tally by fighting a pass from one side. He scored 171 runs from a total of 387 balls faced during the match. He hit 1 six and 16 fours during this run. With this, a special record was recorded in his name.

Jaiswal became only the second Indian player to score a century on Test debut in an overseas victory for the team. Before that, in 1976, Surinder Amarnath also scored a century in India’s victory while making his Test debut abroad. He scored 124 runs with the help of 1 six and 16 fours.

In this match, West Indies won the toss and scored only 150 runs in the first innings. Indian bowler R Ashwin took 5 wickets, Ravindra Jadeja took 3 wickets, Mohammad Siraj and Shardul Thakur took 1 wicket each. After that India declared the innings at 421 runs losing 5 wickets in the first innings. In addition to Jaiswal (171) and Rohit (103), Virat Kohli (76), Ravindra Jadeja (37 not out) made important contributions. This time, five bowlers of the hosts took 1 wicket each.

Chasing the challenge of 272 runs given by India, the West Indies team threw their canoes. His entire team’s innings collapsed for 130 runs like a house of cards.
