Kallis recently gave an interview to a broadcasting channel. At this time he was asked about the best players of his career. Speaking about this, he gave candid answers. After being asked who is the greatest player of all time, he said,

“I would name Jacques Kallis as the best cricketer in history. He left his mark on all the fields in the batting and bowling world.”

Answering various batting questions, he said,

“I would name Sachin Tendulkar as the best batsman. He had an artistry in batting. Also his technique is strong. The most challenging batsman I found was West Indies’ Brian Lara. Bowling against him always required more effort. Also, I would name New Zealand’s Chris Cairns as the most troublesome batsman.”

Kallis has scored 13289 runs in 166 Test matches while playing for South Africa. Even in ODI cricket, he has accumulated 11579 runs and 666 runs from his bat in 25 T20Is. In addition, bowling has 292 wickets in Tests, 273 wickets in ODIs and 12 wickets in T20Is.
