Karthik, who was going to hit Dhoni’s style, but spoiled the whole game on the last ball

On Monday (April 10), fans got to witness a thrilling match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Lucknow Super Giants. RCB made 200-par score while batting for the first time. But in response, Lucknow’s batsmen reached the target with a bang. Lucknow won the match by keeping one wicket. After the defeat, wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik is being blamed. Karthik’s mistake on the last ball is drawing comparisons with MS Dhoni.

Arasby scored 212 for 2 in this match thanks to half-centuries from captain Faf du Plessis (79), Virat Kohli (61) and Glenn Maxwell (59). In reply, Lucknow won the match at the loss of 9 wickets on the very last ball. Lucknow needed one run to win off the last ball, which they got. A mistake by wicketkeeper batsman Dinesh Karthik on the last ball cost RCB dearly.

As Lucknow needed a run off the last ball, the batsmen were going to run for runs whether the ball hit the bat or not. Karthik also had an idea about this, which made him remove his glove from one hand. As expected, Avesh Khan could not play Harshal Patel’s ball. But wicketkeeper Karthik made an unexpected mistake. Under pressure, Karthik could not catch the last ball behind the wicket and the batsmen completed one run. Due to Karthik’s mistake, the efforts of all the RCB players went in vain.

India and Bangladesh played each other in T20 World Cup 2016. Bangladesh needed 2 runs off the last ball to win the match played in Adelaide. Indian captain MS Dhoni was behind the wicket while Hardik Pandya was the bowler. Mushfiqur Hamnan, on strike this time, couldn’t play the ball and ran out for a run. But Dhoni showed his agility to run out the Bangladeshi batsman and won the match. Karthik, like Dhoni in Monday’s match, was ready with one glove off his hand, but he couldn’t catch the ball.

Meanwhile, Harshal Patel () was bowling in the last over for RCB and Lucknow still needed 5 runs to win. He gave a run off the first ball of the innings. On the second ball, Harshal Patel hit Mark Wood for a triple. Then Ravi Bishnoi took two runs off the third ball. Bishnoi scored another run off the fourth ball and Jaydev Unadkad came on strike. Unadkat was caught by Faf du Plessis while playing the first ball of the over. Avesh Khan was on strike off the last ball and the team needed a run. Everyone thought that the match would go to a super over. A mistake by Karthik got Lucknow a run off the last ball. (Dinesh Karthik’s mistake on the last ball cost RCB dear)
