Pune, June 2, 2023: Maharashtra Ironman has launched an anthem to inspire its players and fans in the Premier Handball League starting June 8, 2023.
This song has been composed by Sahil Patil, a resident of Jammu and Kashmir. It begins with, “Dekho dekho a gaye maidan mein, khiladi nikle ye hire ki khan se.” Most of the players in the Maharashtra Ironmen team come from humble backgrounds and have faced many struggles to reach this stage. They will now try to make a mark in the fastest sport in the world which is also an Olympic sport.
“The inspiration behind writing this song was to depict the beautiful game of handball and its players. I read a lot about the game and also watched a lot of videos. I learned that it is one of the fastest sports in the world. Handball is really interesting, because you can’t hold the ball for more than 3 seconds, which makes it a really thrilling experience, so I tried to capture all that thrill in this song,” said Sahil Patil.
He added, “Meeth Gela has been working in the music field for a long time, but Maharashtra Ironmen Sangh song, is my biggest project. I am very proud and blessed to have the opportunity to write lyrics for this team. I would like to thank Punit Balan sir for giving me this opportunity, as this will be the most memorable project of my life.”
Mr. Punit Balan, Owner of Maharashtra Ironmen and Chairman and Managing Director of Punit Balan Group said, “The song fills you with positive energy and excitement which really engages you in the game of handball. The game is fast-paced and requires you to be constantly active, which also keeps the audience engaged. I am sure this song will inspire our players to perform their best on the court.” The Premier Handball League will be played from 8-25 June 2023 at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It will be telecast live on Viacom 18 Network – Sports 18-1 (HD -SD) and Sports18 Khel Sa and Jio Cinema.
