King of speed Wood! Shaw-Marsh bowled back-to-back before the bowling storm, watch the video

The second match of the day in Indian Premier League 2023 was played on Saturday (April 1) between Delhi Capitals vs Lucknow Supergiants. In this match which was held at the Ikana Stadium in Lucknow, the Lucknow team batted brilliantly and scored 193 runs. Then while bowling, veteran fast bowler Mark Wood literally brought Delhi’s top order batsmen to their knees with his blistering pace.

After getting the opportunity to bat first in this match, the Lucknow batsmen took full advantage of it. Kyle Meyers, who is making his debut, scored 73 runs off 38 balls with the help of 2 fours and as many as 7 sixes. While Nicholas Pooran and Ayush Badoni scored 193 runs for the team.

While chasing these runs, the Delhi team messed up from the beginning. Mark Wood, who came to bowl in the fifth over, bent the wicket of Prithvi Shaw on the third ball. He scored 12 runs. The Delhi team had high expectations from Mitchell Marsh who came to bat after that. However, Wood again bowled at the same pace and destroyed his wickets as well. Due to this, the Delhi team was suddenly pushed on the back foot.

After coming in to bowl in his second over, he also dismissed Sarfraz Khan to give Delhi another blow.

Wood was signed by Lucknow Supergiants last year for a huge fee. However, he suffered an injury before the start of the season. So he could not play a single match that season. However, he made his impact in the first match of the new season.
