“Make Hardik captain of ODI team immediately”, Shastri demanded BCCI

The Indian cricket team has to play a very important ODI World Cup in the month of October November. The Indian team wants to end the World Cup exile that has been going on for twelve years. With just a few months left for the World Cup, former Indian team coach and veteran cricketer Ravi Shastri has made a big statement.

Since the World Cup is being held in India this time, the Indian team is considered as the contender for the title. The Indian team will be led by Rohit Sharma in this World Cup. However, Ravi Shastri expressed the hope that changes should be made in the Indian team immediately after the World Cup. Speaking at a program, he said,

“We should not pay too much attention to the results in the World Cup. Even if we win the World Cup, the leadership of the ODI team should be given to Hardik Pandya immediately. Because, that victory immediately becomes a part of the past. Looking ahead, Hardik should be given full exemption to prepare for the next World Cup.”

Currently, Hardik is the vice-captain of India’s ODI and T20 teams. He also got the chance to lead India’s T20 team. Hardik led Gujarat Titans to victory in his first season in the IPL last year. Then in the second season this year as well, he took the team to the finals. That is why his name is in front as the future Indian captain. A few days ago, there were reports that he will be made the regular captain of the T20 team. However, it has been said that a decision will be taken after the ODI World Cup.
