Mathews is the second Australian to come to India and perform ‘such’ against India, a record set in 2004
The third Test between India and Australia is being played in Indore from Wednesday (March 1). In this Test, Australia has blown away the Indian team. After winning the first two Tests, the Indian team’s confidence was boosted, but it was dented by Australia in the first innings of the third Test. The Indian team was bowled out for just 109 runs in the first innings. Five of India’s ten wickets were taken by Australia’s spinner alone, setting a special record.
Matthew Kuhneman’s wickets
Indian team captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat. This decision was initially wrongly decided by the Australian bowlers. Batting first, the Indian team lost all wickets in just 33.2 overs and knelt down on 109 runs. 5 of these wickets were taken by Matthew Kuhnemann. He walked Indian team openers Rohit and Shubman Gill. Rohit, who was playing on 12 runs earlier, was dismissed for 27 runs in 5.6 overs. Then Shubman, who was playing on 21 runs, was dismissed for 34 runs in 7.2 overs.
He then bowled Shreyas Iyer for a wicket in 11.2 overs. This time the score of the team was 45/5. He then dismissed R Ashwin for 88 runs in 28.3 overs as the fourth wicket. Also, he got the fifth wicket of Umesh Yadav who hit 2 sixes and scored 17 runs. He dismissed Umesh for 108 runs in 32.2 overs. Also, completed the quintet of wickets.

The feat of Matthew Kuhneman
Mathew took these five wickets while bowling 9 overs for just 16 runs. He thus became the Australian bowler to complete the quintet of wickets with the fewest runs in India. Before that, Michael Clarke took 6 wickets while playing against India in 2004, spending 9 runs.
Made his debut in the second Test
Matthew Kuhneman made his debut in India vs Australia in the second Test. He had achieved the feat of taking 2 wickets in the very first Test. In this way, he blew the Indian team in the second Test. (Matthew Kuhnemann has Australia’s second cheapest five-fer in India after Michael Clarke)
