Missed catch, no ball and more! Read the thrill of the last over of the Rajasthan-Hyderabad match

In the 52nd match of IPL 2023, Sunrisers Hyderabad secured a narrow victory over Rajasthan. Hyderabad defeated Rajasthan by 4 wickets on the last ball. Many called this match the most dramatic match in IPL history. Due to many things that happened in the last over, the color of this match remained.

Rajasthan posted a huge score of 214 for 3 thanks to the stormy batting of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson. All the batsmen were seen contributing for Hyderabad while chasing these runs. At the same time, in the last two overs, Rajasthan struck freely. Needing 41 runs in two overs, Kuldeep Yadav scored 24 runs with 22 from Glenn Phillips. So Sandeep Sharma had a challenge to save 17 runs in the last over.

On the first ball of the over, Sandeep was able to catch Abdul Samad. However, Obed McCoy failed to take the catch and got two runs. After that, Samad hit a six on the second ball to make the match colorful. He once again managed to get two runs off the third ball.

Sandeep yorkered the fourth ball and scored a run. Samad came on strike as another run came off the fifth ball. Hyderabad needed five runs from the last ball to win. Samad was dismissed on this excellent delivery by Sandeep and Rajasthan started the victory celebration.

Meanwhile the umpire declared it a no ball and everyone was shocked as Samad was on strike once again as no run was scored on the final ball. With four runs needed, he smashed this ball for a six to take the team to their highest total in IPL history.

This defeat has dealt a major blow to Rajasthan’s play-off plans. So, victorious Hyderabad maintained their challenge in the tournament.
