Before Shami, this feat was done by Royal Challengers Bangalore fast bowler Mohammad Siraj. Kolkata bowler Varun Chakraborty is third in the list of highest number of no-balls in the current season of IPL. He has bowled 75 balls so far. Arshdeep Singh scored 69 and Bhuvneshwar Kumar scored 67 runs.
