Mohsin’s father was in the ICU till a day before Vijaya’s victory

Marcus Stoinis and Mohsin Khan led Lucknow Super Giants to a brilliant performance on the IPL ground on Tuesday (May 16). Lucknow won by 5 runs in the match played against Mumbai Indians at home ground. Mumbai needed 11 runs from the last over to win. However, Tim David and Cameron Green could not give the team a win on Mohsin Khan’s bowling. This match was a true gift from Mohsin Khan to his father.

Mumbai Indians were given a target of 178 runs by Lucknow to win this match. But in reply, the Mumbai team could only reach 172 runs for 5 balls. Camgoon Green and Tim David could not hit a single big shot in the last over. Mohsin Khan, who came to bowl in this over, spent only 5 runs and gave Lucknow a victory by 5 runs. After this win, Lucknow is just one step away from the playoffs. Mumbai, on the other hand, may now have to depend on the performance of other teams for the playoffs. Both the teams have yet to play one match each in the league stage.

“What I try to do in the practice session, I try to do in the match. I had told this story to Krunal too. The run up was the same. I didn’t change it even in the last over. I was trying to keep myself calm. So didn’t look at the scoreboard and bowled 6 balls well. I tried to bowl at a slower pace as the ball was getting better grip on the pitch.”

“It was a tough time for me, as I was injured myself and playing after a year. My father came out of ICU yesterday. He was in the hospital for the last 10 days and I performed this performance for him. They must have seen this match. The support staff of the team is thankful to Gautham (Gambir) Sir, Vijay (Dahiya) Sir. Even though I didn’t perform well in the previous matches, they gave me a chance to play this match,” Mohsin said at the time.

Meanwhile, considering the overall score of this match between the two teams, Marcus Stoinis scored an unbeaten 89 runs in 47 balls. Stoinis was also named man of the match for this. Along with Stoinis, Lucknow captain Krunal Pandya also made an important contribution of 49 runs. Openers Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma gave the team a good start for Mumbai Indians. But the later batsmen could not perform as expected. Tim David scored 32 not out, while Cameron Green scored 4 not out. Rohit scored 37 runs off 25 balls, while Ishan scored 59 runs off 39 balls.
