Money rained on T20 specialist Richa Ghosh, RCB received ‘so many’ crores
In the ongoing Women’s Premier League auction, many Indian cricketers have been bid heavily. In this, many teams bid for Indian team’s young wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh. However, eventually the Royal Challengers Bangalore team managed to lure her. Bangalore bid as much as 1 crore 19 lakhs.

Although Richa is currently only twenty years old, she has been a part of the senior team for the past three years. Also, she represented India in the Under-19 T20 World Cup which was recently won by the Indian Women’s team. She is also seen playing in the ongoing Senior T20 World Cup.
She is seen as the finisher of the team. She hit nine sixes against Bangladesh in the warm-up match of the World Cup. So, in the first match of the tournament against Pakistan, she paved the way for India’s victory by playing three consecutive fours. Mumbai and Bangalore team tried to bid well for her. Eventually UP also tried for her. However, RCB made the highest bid of 1 crore 90 lakhs for her.
Along with her, India’s vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, New Zealand’s all-rounder Sophie Devine, Australia’s Ellyse Perry and India’s Renuka Thakur will also be seen playing in this team.
