MPL 2023 kicks off with a bang, Amrita Khanwilkar’s performance enthralls fans
Pune, 15th June 2023: Ganesh Vandana of Maharashtra Premier League (MPL) tournament organized by Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA)…. A stab in the chest… Actress Amrita Khanwilkar’s dance performance on the song Chandra… An Bhakti-Shakti Vari inaugurated the MPL competition in Dimakha.
The Maharashtra Premier League (MPL) organized by the Maharashtra Cricket Association started at the Maharashtra Cricket Association International Ground in Gahunje. The competition was inaugurated with Ganesh Vandan. Then dances were performed on Marathi and Hindi songs. Amrita Khanvilkar enthralled the audience with her dance performance on the title song of Maharashtra Premier League sung by Shankar Mahadevan.
MCA President Rohit Pawar, Vice President Kiran Samant, Secretary Shubendra Bhandarkar, Joint Secretary Santosh Bobde, Treasurer Sanjay Bajaj and MPL President Sachin Mulye were present at the inauguration.
Apart from this, other MCA office bearers Suhas Patwardhan, Sunil Mutha, Vinayak Dravid Keshav, Raju Kane, Advocate Ajay Deshmukh, Rajvardhan Kadambande, Atul Jain, Advocate Kamlesh Pisal, Sushil Shewale, Ranjit Khirid, Kalpana Tapikar were present.
Shama Lunkad, Madhuri Sawant, Vijaya Patil, Kalpana Tapikar, Ujwala Pawar, Nilima Joglekar and current Indian team player Smriti Mandhana were felicitated on the occasion before the start of the competition.
The opening match of the tournament has started between Rituraj Gaikwad’s Puneri Bappa and Kedar Jadhav’s Kolhapur Tuskers. Eagle Nashik Titans, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Kings, Ratnagiri Jets and Solapur Royals will compete against each other in a six-team league format and the final match of the tournament will be held on Thursday, June 29.
