MPL 2023. That’s the tie for the last playoff spot! Puneri Bappa’s Parde Jadch

Maharashtra Premier League 2023 is well underway. All the league matches are held at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium located in Pune. On Thursday (June 22), Kolhapur Tuskers qualified for the playoffs. On the other hand, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Kings became the first team to exit the playoff race. The Puneri Bappa team also needs one more win to secure a place in the playoffs.

The Puneri Bappa team need one more win to join the top four considering the MPL 2023 playoffs equation. Eelagh Nashik Titans became the first team to reach the playoffs. After that Ratnagiri Jets team placed second in the list. After defeating Chhatrapati Sambhaji Kings on Thursday, the Kolhapur team secured the third position. The Puneri Bappa team could also qualify for the playoffs on Thursday. However, this was not possible.

Puneri Bappa and Solapur Royals will compete for the fourth spot in the playoffs. However, Puneri Bappa’s Parde is hard to do. Because the Pune team has won two out of the first four matches. On the other hand, Solapur team has won only one match out of the first four. Even if Solapur wins the last match of the Asat League stage, the team can match Pune, but not surpass them. In such a case the playoff will be decided on the basis of net run rate. Pune, on the other hand, will have a chance to knock Solapur out of the tournament. If Puneri Bappa and win the last match of the league stage, the team will reach the top four.

Pune are scheduled to play their next match against Ratnagiri Jets on Saturday (June 24) afternoon. On the other hand, the Solapur team will play their last league match against Chhatrapati Sambhaji Kings on Friday (June 23) evening.
