MPL 2023. Women’s first exhibition match on June 25, see schedule

The Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) has organized three women’s exhibition matches in the Shriram Capital Maharashtra Premier League (MPL) tournament from tomorrow (June 25, 2023), Sunday.

Three women’s exhibition matches will be played in three teams namely MCA Women Red, MCA Women Blue and MCA Women Yellow. matches It will be held at 1.30 pm and will be open to all. Smriti Mandhana (Blue), Devika Vaidya (Red) and Tejal Hasbanis (Yellow) have been entrusted with the leadership of the teams. India’s vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, who was the ICC Women’s Player of the Year 2021, is the main attraction of the matches. Along with this, Devika Vaidya, Kiran Navgire, Anuja Patil will also participate.

This year we are hosting three women’s exhibition matches during the MPL play-offs. From next year, however, we will organize a four-team women’s MPL, said MCA president Rohit Pawar.

In this exhibition match, budding girls will get an opportunity to play with experienced players like Smriti, Devika, Kiran and Anuja. The three women’s exhibition matches will be played on June 25, 27, 28 at 1.30 pm at the MCA International Stadium, Gahunje. The first match will be played between MCA Women’s Blue team and MCA Red team on June 25 and the remaining two matches will be played between MCA Blue team vs MCA Yellow team and MCA Yellow team vs MCA Red team on June 27 and 28 respectively. (Women’s exhibition matches in MPL will start from June 25)
