Mumbai got the Dhakad opener for a whopping 1.5 crores, will break the opposition bowling with Harman

The BCCI held a player auction for the first season of the Women’s Premier League in Mumbai on Monday (February 13). In this, money literally rained on many women athletes in India and abroad. Indian team’s wicket keeper Yastika Bhatia unexpectedly got huge demand. Mumbai Indians made her a part of their team by bidding Rs 1.5 Crores on her.

Yastika, an aggressive left-handed batsman and wicketkeeper, is currently seen playing for the Indian team in the T20 World Cup. In the first match against Pakistan, she took advantage of the opportunity she got in place of Smriti Mandhana and gave India an aggressive start. Also Mumbai Indians will see double benefit from her as she is an excellent wicket keeper. UP Warriors team also tried hard to get her in their team. However, eventually Mumbai managed to pull her back.

Mumbai performed excellently in this auction. Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur, England legend Natalia Sivar, New Zealand veteran Amelia Karr and India all-rounder Pooja Vastrakar will also get a chance to play for Mumbai.
