What is the rule?

The ‘Impact Player’ rule will be applicable in IPL 2023. That is, teams can substitute one of their players in a match during a certain period. At the time of coin toss, along with the playing eleven, the captain has to name 4 players, one of whom he can use during the match. Only one of these 4 players is required to be used as a substitute. If a team is losing their wickets quickly when batting first, they can use an extra batsman in place of a bowler (base batsman) in the playing eleven under the impact player rule.
