The two also had an argument during the post-match handshake. After that, Lucknow’s mentor Gautam Gambhir also jumped into this controversy and had a row with Virat. As the matter escalated, both the players turned on each other. The entire affair brought the IPL and all the players into disrepute. The match referee took action against Gambhir and Virat to reduce the match fee by 100 percent. So, Naveen was fined 50 percent of the match fee.

After that, Naveen Ul Haq has shared a picture from his Instagram. In this, seriousness is also seen with him. Captioning the picture, he wrote,

‘Thou shalt treat people as thou wouldst. Answer the way people talk to you’, Gambhir wrote back to him, ‘Be the way you are.’

Both of them are being trolled on social media due to this case. Also many say that Virat is innocent.
