Not Virat-Rohit or Dhoni, but the record of playing 233 consecutive IPL matches in the name of ‘this’ team

There are many players in the Indian Premier League who have more than one record to their name. For example, Virat Kohli has scored more than 7000 runs in IPL. Chris Gayle has hit the most sixes with 357. Also, Shikhar Dhawan has hit the most 750 fours. One such record is also held by Dinesh Karthik, the wicketkeeper batsman of Royal Challengers Bangalore. He holds the record for most consecutive matches in IPL history.

Dinesh Karthik holds the record for most consecutive matches in IPL history. Karthik has played 233 consecutive IPL matches between 2008 and 2023. Rohit Sharma is second after Karthik. He has played 165 consecutive IPL matches between 2009 and 2020. Also, in third place is MS Dhoni who has played 151 consecutive IPL matches between 2010 and 2019.

Suresh Raina is next after MS Dhoni. Raina has played 143 consecutive IPL matches between 2008 and 2018. In addition, the explosive batsman Virat Kohli is at the fifth position. Virat has played 129 consecutive IPL matches between 2008 and 2016. In this way, Dinesh Karthik set a record that even Rohit, Dhoni, Raina and Virat could not match.

Recently on 18 May Sunrisers Hyderabad Vs. The 65th match of IPL 2023 was played in Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, Dinesh Karthik did not get a chance in this match. Also, he did not play a single match against KKR in 2008. However, later played 233 consecutive matches.
