Novak Djokovic two steps away from the 24th Grand Slam! Defeated Russia’s Rublev and entered the semi-finals
Serbian tennis legend Novak Djokovic is just a few away from his 24th Grand Slam medal. Djokovic has reached the semifinals of Wimbledon 2023. He defeated Andrey Rublev of Russia in the quarter-finals played on Tuesday (July 11) to reach the quarter-finals. In the semi-final, Djokovic will be challenged by Italy’s Janic Ciner.
The semi-final match between Novak Djokovic and Andrey Rublev was very exciting. Djokovic initially fell behind in the match on Tuesday. But he came back and won the match. In the first innings, Russia’s Andrey Rubvel got the lead. But Djokovic was leading in the next three sets. Djokovic won the match 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 and 6-3. Djokovic will face Italy’s Jannic Sinner in the semi-finals for a place in the final. Sinner defeated Russian Roman Rafiulin 6-4, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 in his quarter-final match.
