Finalization of Asia Cup schedule is underway. Based on the earlier discussion, Pakistan will have four matches of the series. After that 9 matches will be played in Sri Lanka. It has been said that if the Indian team enters the final match, this final match will be played in Sri Lanka. A total of 14 matches will be played in the Asia Cup. In this, after the league round, there will be Super Four matches. After this the final match will be played.
PCB is going to make a new demand in the Asian Cricket Council meeting. Accordingly, PCB will seek permission from the council to organize more than four matches. There is a big risk of rain in Sri Lanka during the Asia Cup. Therefore, the new chairman of the PCB, Zaka Ashraf, expressed the desire to organize some more matches in Pakistan. At present, the Asia Cup matches in Pakistan have been decided to be played only from Multan.
According to the hybrid model, the Asia Cup to be held in these two countries will be held between August 31 and September 17. Six teams will participate in this tournament and they have been divided into two groups. India, Pakistan and Nepal will be in Group A. Meanwhile, defending champions Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are in Group B.
