PCB finally bowed before BCCI! Only one condition for playing World Cup matches
There is a tense atmosphere between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Pakistan is hosting the Asia Cup in the middle of this year. Also, the ODI World Cup will be played in India. It is said that the situation created on this issue has now started to pick up. PCB seems to have taken two steps back for this.
The PCB had taken a stand some time ago that if the Indian team did not come to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, then the Pakistan team would not come to India for the World Cup. However, as the BCCI maintained its opposition, it was confirmed that the Asia Cup would be held in the UAE along with Pakistan. After that, it seems that once again PCB itself has taken a biased position.
Pakistan has decided to come for the upcoming World Cup in India and they want to play their matches in Chennai and Kolkata. He has spoken to BCCI about this and BCCI will take the final decision.
The Pakistan team has seen massive support in Chennai many times before. Also, they played their matches in Kolkata during the 2016 T20 World Cup. That is why they have demanded these two places.
This time ODI World Cup will be organized only in India. The World Cup will be played from October 5 to November 19. The World Cup will be played in a total of 12 cities in India, including Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Mohali, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Dharamshala, Bangalore, Rajkot, Guwahati, Lucknow and Indore. The ODI World Cup has been hosted three times in the Indian subcontinent. However, every time other countries including India played the role of organizers.
