Speaking further, he said, “When Sanju plays, he seems to make batting look very easy. Seeing him is also good for the eyes. He led his team to the Ranji finals, also to the IPL finals. He also got a chance in the Indian team, but he couldn’t do anything special here. This is the reality, which his fans cannot understand. Sanju knows that the current set-up in the Indian team has limited opportunities for him.”

Talking about Sanju, Akash Chopra further said, “People say that Sanju is God’s gift to Indian cricket. Play him and all will be well. Not only that, we would have won the World Cup too, but his bat doesn’t matter. Only the atmosphere is created that, if Sanju had been played, it would have been – it would have been.”
